Since 1953, Kingsway High has proudly served our community, fostering over 70 years of excellence in academics, growth, and achievement.

Our alumni include leading doctors, athletes, artists, and CEOs, a testament to the strong foundation we provide.

As a proud alumna and the newly appointed Principal from April 2025, I’m honored to lead this exceptional school. My journey began here, and I return with a deep commitment to giving back to the school that gave so much to me.

Bringing both the staff, learners, parents and our local community together.

Since opening our doors on 20 April 1953, Kingsway High School has proudly served generations of learners
with an unwavering commitment to excellence and service.

Under the leadership of our founding principal, Mr. D. Truscott, the school laid strong foundations built on integrity, high standards, and enduring values.

In 1971, Kingsway found its permanent home in a landmark building designed by Miss Lola Shephard,
South Africa’s first female architect. Her visionary design and trailblazing spirit continue to inspire the innovation, resilience, and ambition that define our school today.

Over seventy years later, Kingsway High School stands as a beacon of holistic education, proudly nurturing
over 1100 learners. Guided by our motto Ut Prosim ("That I may serve"), our students excel not only in the
classroom but across 15 competitive sports codes and 10 vibrant cultural offerings.

At Kingsway, we are more than a school, we are a community committed to shaping young people
